Cardigan, capes and boleros
Cardies, capes and boleros protect your from the cold when winter coats are, still, too warm. So, in England you definitely need many cardies. Our climate is characterized by clammy evenings and mild winters. Sometimes a cardigan is exactly what you need to avoid you catch a cold.
Trendy cardies and cool boleros
The cardigan no longer has a frumpy image. A cardigan is trendy and feminine. At the same time it can be cool or elegant. Half-long knitted cardies will be trendy this autumn. A half-long cardigan on capri pants with sneakers creates a casual look, a short cardigan on a wide skirt with pumps creates a rather elegant look.
Boleros and capes
Besides cardies, capes and boleros start dominating the scene. Boleros are ultrashort jackets which usually can’t even be closed and exclusively cover shoulders, arms and back. They remind of the jacket of a bullfighter, yet slightly different. The bolero is available in black, but with cheerful red roses or fresh stripes as well.
Cape
A cape offers all kinds of possibilities. It looks smarter than a shawl and some capes even have pockets, very practical to store your keys, for example. A cape reminds of Zorro. Nowadays, however, a cape is much more cheerful and less mysterious. You can wear it in combination with a nice hat and sturdy boots and you can go to the forest to walk our dog. Wear it on a dress with a pair of ballerinas and you will be ready for the garden party of your residents’ association. In short: cardies, capes and boleros are just perfect for cool evenings and other typical Dutch weather conditions.
