Vintage pants and playsuits
The pantsuit, pantskirt or playsuit is so seventies. Usually, vintage pants have three-quarter legs or flared legs. However, you can buy skinny vintage jeans with turned up legs from 1975 as well. The lady’s pants from the fifties have a rather military style, high waist, double breasted. Common colours are, of course, a derivative of navy blue or hunter green. Retro pants are often characterized by a petrol colour.
Vintage pants with braces
If you think of your granddad and the famous Dutch movie “Ciske de Rat” you will probably think of braces, pets and knickerbockers. This famous movie portrayed Amsterdam street life in the last century. In those days, braces, pets and knickerbockers were fashion for men and inspired the retro lady’s pants. Wide pants, actually pantskirts, with braces create a distinct vintage look.
Vintage Hotpants
Shorts are, of course, part of our collection, especially hotpants. Hotpants became extremely popular in the seventies. Hotpants are extremely comfortable for roller-skating, a sport which all of a sudden became very popular among girls.
Retro dungarees
You won’t believe it, but once upon a time dungarees were extremely popular. A shapeless garment with large pocket on your belly, allowing you to store all kinds of things, usually worn in the garden. After all, if you put your wallet in the pocket, you will cut a sorry figure. Nevertheless, retro shorts inclusive of top are a cute variant and because it is vintage, it is fashion!
